Zombie eyes

What has scary eyes, waits to come out at night, and whose only goal is to cause destruction? A zombie. And that’s what lives in my back yard. Look at those zombie eyes. Now take a closer look at the picture. See that little yellow thing right in front of him? That’s what’s left of one of the apples on my tree! It’s only April! My apples are still so tiny, even the mangy rat-faced, no-good, low-life, beady-eyed, scum-sucking, apple-stealing squirrel won’t touch them. But they seem to make a nice evening snack for the zombie rabbit.

I ran out and chased him away three times but he came right back. Then I sprayed the tiny apples with an organic but horrible tasting concoction and he still came back. This was war, but I wasn’t going to let him win. I went upstairs to the closet and got my plastic hawk.

Put it right under the tree.

Haven’t seen hide nor hare….

It seems the rabbit has took over because you haven’t posted much of anything about squirrels in a while. Those critters can sure do some damage and be destructive and ruin things, so I don’t blame you for being annoyed with them. Your yard is fixed up really nice and they shouldn’t be allowed to enter it. Good thing your tree produces lots of apples. I hope your plastic hawk works to protect your apple tree, so you can enjoy making your apple pies 🙂

Ohhh Jenny, where is Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies when you need her?? 😉
    she would take care of that mangy rat-faced, no-good, low-life, beady-eyed, scum-sucking, apple-stealing rabbit 🙂

By the way your grass looks great!! I can’t wait till all our trees fill in and the grass is full again.

Oh and I just watched your baked donut video during my break and I couldn’t help but crack up at the cow timer! That thing is great! I will definately have to look for one.

I agree with you about the cow timer Sue. Jenny’s timers are adorable. My favorite was the ladybug one but after seeing the cow timer I have to say it takes the cake 🙂

There is only one thing left to do….pee on the apples!! LOL

I don’t know if it works but it would be pretty funny to watch.

Jenny,Just too funny! My backyard version of your “zombie” is the neighbors CAT. He watches the baby fish in my small pond much too closely! It is directly off the patio so I can keep a close eye on her . I have to get a plastic owl and see if it could also be my “eye in the sky!”
