Non-Stick Paring Knives

These Kuhn Rikon knives are unbelievably sharp and stay that way. The sheath makes them great for travel and at $10, they're the perfect gift for a cook (like me... Denis, are you listening?).

Kitchenaid Mixer

My Kitchenaid Mixer is not only good looking but it's always there to make my life easier. Just like my man!

Tilt-a-whirl

The best way to ride a Tilt-a-Whirl is to ride it until you’re just on the verge of throwing up… and then do it again. I love it!

Chocolate

The best news I ever heard is that chocolate is actually good for you. It has antioxidants. But you’re still not supposed to eat the whole box.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Giglo

The scene where Rob Schneider massages that gigantic foot... that’s a real foot! If you watch the movie you see them pan down the whole body. I still laugh ‘til I hurt every time I see it.

A bath that's just the right temperature.

One day, the water is perfect. Then the next day, I step in and by the time my brain gets the message that the water is hot enough to brew coffee, it’s too late. Ouch!

Concord grapes

They’re only available in the fall and no matter how many I buy, I eat them all the same day. Even the seeds.

Anything I bake myself

Don’t get me started! Breads, muffins, cookies, cakes – there’s nothing like homemade from scratch.

50% off the already reduced price

I got a pillow once for free. It was on sale for $9.99 and came with a $10 rebate.

Pima cotton pajamas

Some Sundays I stay in my pajamas until 1:00 p.m. Okay, maybe 2:00 p.m. If it’s raining, then all day.

Learning something new

I’m trying to learn Spanish. I’ve already learned French and I remember some Polish, even Greek. It’s always good to know if someone is cussing you out in Greek.

My labelmaker

I have labels on my light switches, drawers, cabinets, refrigerator, even in the freezer. “MY FUDGE BARS – DO NOT TOUCH”

Wrapping presents

Yes, I have a gift-wrapping room (it used to be a closet) so I have room to save every piece of wrapping paper, tissues, ribbon, and trim - as far back as the 70s. I rarely buy wrapping paper.

Disposable Storage Containers

Disposable? Not in this kitchen. I’ve had mine since the 80s and if I give food to someone, I want the container back. I prefer they leave collateral, like a piece of jewelry or maybe one of their children.
