I got a new Mixer!
Another woman might have been excited about buying new shoes but not me. I got a new mixer! Denis drove me all over town to find it. We went to Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, Bloomingdales, Macys, and Bed, Bath & Be Serious (that’s what Denis calls it), but no one had the pistachio green color I wanted. Then I suggested going to Beverly Center because it’s more of a fashion mall and may have more stuff in housewares at Macys. They did and I got the green mixer that goes with my kitchen. And a $30 rebate! But here’s the sad part. I’m still using my old one because I don’t want to get the new one dirty.
If this one ever fails, my next one is going to be purple…
My daughter just got one too…only she didn’t get to pick the color. Her husband is cleaning a lady’s house out. Her husband died 5 years ago and she became a hoarder. Now she is ready to move with her life after hoarding. She went on a rampage and bought all new items but never took them out of the box. So my daughter is reaping the benefits of her shopping. It made my daughter very happy and it made the lady hapy knowing someone will end up with all of her nice things! Win/Win!!
I have also been blessed with over 250 books most of them new (no your cookbook wasn’t one of them)!
BTW another trip to Walgreens yesterday no skirt…..LOL

I like this very much. I LOVE my KitchenAid stand mixer!
Braden, do you do alot of cooking? or is it just on an average?
I enjoy cooking quite a bit. If I have the day off – I’ll be cooking something… and 9 times out of 10 I’ve got my KitchenAid out.
Wow! I’m glad to know men can cook for themselves and enjoy it and for you to mention kitchen tools in a post I kinda knew you enjoyed cooking, but wasnt sure…
LOL…you’re so funny, but it’s quite understandable, Jenny. Why bother getting a perfectly new mixer dirty when you have one that still works? Keep using the old mixer if it still works and save the new one. As much as you cook, the newer one will come in handy someday 🙂
Wow, the pistachio green color is what I want to do our kitchen in. I’ve started on it, but havent finished it yet. Our counter tops are a hunter green with pistachio green color swirled into it, almost looks like green marble. My dad installed it, because the other one needed replacing and I’m sticking with it. I like the color he picked out…
Yellow canary is a favorite color for a kitchen for some people, but I dont like it that much, so when I saw the light green color which looks like pistachio. I thought perfect. We also have roosters and Jenny I love the rooster rug you have. I noticed it looking at your pictures of your home…
Oh and by the way, you bought a new mixer and I bought a new keyboard 🙂
I havent change to the new one yet, but I will. This one I’m using is pretty gnarly with some of the keys sticking…
