My first pomegranate
I had my first pomegranate today and I’ve never had one so sweet and crisp and ruby red inside. It took patience not to pick them off my tree but I waited until one was cracked and I could see the inside. Last year I grew two and this year, almost twenty! This picture is not photoshopped – that’s exactly what it looked like (it’s gone now).
Here’s a picture of it after I cut it open:
I needed a treat today after my mini meltdown yesterday but I guess that had to come out. I had been holding that pain for years and it actually felt good to let it go. I’m feeling much better now thanks to the loving support and kind words sent by my blog buddies. Thank you all for caring enough to write. I wish I could send you all a pomegranate, but I can send you a big thank you hug. (((H)))
How to express hate? no, too strong…envy? not strong enough…pain? yup that’s it. That’s what I feel when I look at my shrivelled up pomegranate and then look at yours!!
You’re welcome Jenny and right back at’cha with a hug 🙂
I’m glad you vented about Oprah and Jenny it only hurts you for not standing your ground in the long run. I feel bad that you felt so hurt by being ignored by Oprah, but I think anyone would’ve felt the same as you do. Oprah is the one missing out on knowing a really awesome person. You standing your ground might change how people see you. People go by the negative because that’s all they know. I’m sure it’s alot lifted from you by venting. I’m glad you expressed yourself. You need to do that more often 🙂
Oh and Jenny, I’m glad you kept the animals away from your pomegranates. It seems you will have plenty to enjoy for a while. I will be planting a pomegranate tree next spring because yours looks and probably taste fresher than store bought, but I’ll settle for what I can get for now 🙂
Take care,
Rhonda
Back at ya girlfriend!!!

YUMMMMMM You are making me want to go get some. I wish I could grow them here….but I live in MN. We already have snow onthe ground and you are still growing fruit. haha Heather
I love pomegranates, I buy them at the store though and they don’t look as healthy as yours, but they’re delicious.
I’m glad you’re feeling better!!!
Hugs!
