An unwelcome visitor
This morning I spotted two deer on the back hill so I got my camera and went out to take a picture. They usually don’t run from me but this time, just as I raised my camera, they bolted up the hill faster than I’ve ever seen them move. ย Oh well, no photo this time.
Seconds later, before I even lowered the camera, this coyote approached from the side, moving like he had a mission. This was the only photo I got before he was gone. I don’t know why he didn’t chase them up the hill ย – maybe he was hunting for a lighter snack. ย Can I interest you in some organic filet of gopher? Maybe some skunk tartare? Snake on a stick?
I love your photos, Jenny. That one is beautiful. It seems you didn’t have a problem at all with it running either. It’s perfectly centered and not blurred ๐
If the coyote didn’t have the tan color on him he would be really camouflaged. I love wildlife and you see it alot it seems ๐
About the only thing I’ve seen here that are in the wild are deer, raccoon and fox…
By the way, you seem really close when you take pictures. You must have a really good zoom lens ๐
Take care,
Rhonda
Wow Jenny! That picture is so awesome! It looked like a wolf to me the first time I saw it. (and I just did!) We bought our christmas tree today and it’s 10 feet tall! We have a large great room with an 18 foot high ceiling so this one is actually smaller than our usual but it’s beautiful!! I love this season!!! Going out to hang with friends, have a great night!!!

I would love to have seen that unwelcome visitor, wow! We see deer all the time, but Coyote are not found where I live, I don’t think. On a trip to AZ to visit my daughter, a few years ago, while driving down a dark street, we happened to spot a coyote, just walking along , like it was no bodies business.
