Tower of Power Rocks!

We went to a concert at the Greek Theater in Hollywood last weekend that featured Sierra, War, and Tower of Power (remember β€œSo Very Hard To Go” and β€œWhat is Hip?”) Tower of Power rocked the outdoor arena. (I hope the surrounding neighbors were fans!) It was a four hour, loud concert – outside – and around 9 p.m. it got cold! I wore three layers and was still freezing. Oh… my new pet peeve: people who stand up at a concert when everyone else is sitting. About twenty people kept getting up to entertain the rest of us with their own personal choreography. One guy, who made five trips to bring more beer (which they served in giant cups big enough to bathe a small child), danced as thought he was alone at home listening to headphones, oblivious to the other 5,000 of us forced to watch in disbelief. His moves were a bad combination of country line dancing without the line and the hokey pokey. He may not remember it but all of us do.

That is too funny!! πŸ™‚ It reminded me of when me and several of my friends and our sisters went to see the Sisters of Rock, Ann and Nancy Wilson. We had fourth row center seats and there was a girl drunk off her rocker dancing around infront of us with a very large beer. She threw her arms up in the air and me and one of my friends got showered!! πŸ™‚ We didn’t start anything with her because we wanted to be more classy especially that close to the band. It was also 87 outside and it kinda cooled us off a bit! πŸ™‚ I’m just glad we weren’t wearing white T-Shirts!!! πŸ™‚

Jenny, a 4 hour concert with people acting a fool is not my cup of tea. I would’ve been annoyed and probably left after an hour or 2. I have to say you had great seats, so I don’t blame you for staying…
Lucky you!…having those cool nights. It’s muggy and sticky here at night. I wish we could get some cooler nights. I love the night air. It’s too hot to open the doors and windows and I enjoy that most in the spring and fall…
I guess we’ll settle for the AC and fan. I like using a fan to circulate the cool air as if it was a breeze from outside πŸ˜‰
