How do you like your squirrel?

I Β took all the peaches off my tree today.

I wanted to fire up the grill and make squirrel-beque.

I made peach pie instead.

It was the therapy I needed to let go.

Feeling better today.

I still hate the squirrel.

Jenny, the pie looks delicious and it’s not easy keeping those squirrels in check. I’m glad you’re feeling better πŸ™‚

I’ve dealt with squirrels before, so I feel your frustration. Cats really help keep your yard pest free. I wish we had the cats before my Dad cut bushes down. Now the front yard looks empty. I’m trying now to plant things to fill in so it won’t be so open and it’s coming along quiet nicely. Still need a dogwood. Hopefully next spring I can plant one for the front yard…

Yes Marty, I agree. we live on three acres of woods and have stray cats on our property. We used to have mice problems but not anymore!! πŸ™‚ I also bought them an igloo and put out fresh water and food for them every morning. They don’t work for free!! πŸ™‚

I am posting the latest picture of Riley, my gift to my parents on the JJ “share your pictures” . My mom sent it out to all of our family members and friends and said: “Here’s our lovebun, he’s not a new grandchild, Susie bought him for us and he is here to stay, He has uplifted mine and Tom’s life like you would not believe.” (awww !)

He was born May 5th and the picture was taken July 5th two month old. He is sooooooooooooooo loved and soooooooooooo spoiled and my teka and kya are so playful with him! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ JJ and Denis, Don’t you want a Riley in your home???

Thanks Sue atleast someone out there likes my logic.

        • Rhonda says:

I use your logic, Marty. I didn’t have any animals and the squirrels were taken over it seemed. I thought I’ll just get a cat and see how those pest like it. The squirrels put up a fuss in the morning when I let the cats out…lol…but hey it works πŸ™‚

Did you ever think about writing a country song about this?
“I came home tonite.. and to my delight, my peaches! they were in danger from a small pesty stranger…
    Chorus:
    a rat-faced, no-good, low-life, beady-eyed, scum-sucking, fruit-stealing squirrel.

(Harmonica solo!) Keep it going my sista!!
