Remember Miss Cleo? She was the wildly popular Jamaican psychic and shaman whose infomercial ran on TV from 1997 – 2002. Miss Cleo was the spokesperson for the Psychic Readers Network, which was a pay-per-call psychic reading service charging $4.99 per minute for a “free reading.” In three years, it’s estimated her service took in one billion dollars through 900 numbers but once the Federal Trade Commission stepped in, the company was charged with deceptive advertising, billing, and collection practices. PRN had to cancel $500 million in customer charges and pay a 5 million dollar fine.
It turned out that Miss Cleo’s real name was Youree Harris and she had never been to Jamaica. So the name was fake and so was the accent. But she was good! Before things went awry, Miss Cleo was a guest on my show and did some readings for the audience. Click here to see.
Rhonda I also believe in physics to an extent. Even if someone is just making it up and gives the person closure to hear that their loved one is fine and that they love you and know that you love them, then it’s still ok to me, because some people really do need that.
I don’t agree with the ones who take advantage of people though, that’s just not right.
I went to a Sylvia Browne convention/lecture thing a few years ago. I didn’t get to ask a question but it was a lot of fun. It was also really interesting to be in a room full of people who believed in things other than what they could see or feel.
Psychic mediums are the best of all psychics. They do bring closure for people who are searching for comfort after losing a loved ones. Sylvia Browne is a good one. I remember watching Montel once when he had Sylvia Browne on his show and it was interesting, so I bet it was really cool to be at one of her convention/lecture…
I came across a video from Jenny’s show when she had Tana Hoy, who is a psychic medium, and Judi Hoffman on her show. Watching it again gave me chills…
We all have intuition and instinct, but I think there’s barriers that keep a lot of us from crossing over to connect and use it like these psychics do…

I remember this show. It was quite interesting. I enjoyed watching it and it nice to see a clip of it again. Some people might not believe in psychics but I’m a believer. You’re gonna have your fake ones out there. You just got to know who is honest. I think Miss Cleo is one of the honest ones…
Oh and by the way, I’ve noticed you’ve added more clips. Your Stress clip had me rolling. I laughed so hard it hurt…lol…but the PB and Jim clip was just as funny. Such funny clips…hilarious!…lol 😆
You pick the best clips to share with us. I guess you know what your viewers here want to see and what we will enjoy. I bet most your shows where your idea and I use to say you were the hippest talk show host and still are, well…the hippest, coolest web host 😉 🙂
You are one awesome person, Jenny. You don’t see many celebrities interact with their fans as you do. I’m sure a lot, if not all, of your fans appreciate you being such an honest open person and that’s why you are loved so much by us fans 🙂
