It’s a boy!

Did you see my posting on May 16th when the baby deer got into the backyard? Well, mom and baby came around again today (not in the yard – just on the hill behind the house) and guess what? Its a boy! I wish I had a better picture but as soon as he saw me, he ran to momma! But you know I’ll be staking out the hill for more photos of this beautiful boy when his antlers start to grow. The way he was looking at me, I wonder what he was thinking… “Aren’t you the broad who was chasing me around the yard? Try and catch me now, lady!”  Or maybe he was thinking, “What’s to eat? I ate all the flowers up here so…  got any tomatoes?”

If your apple trees are in season he will be eating them!! They love apples. He is a beauty!! I hope he has a long life.
P.S. I noticed on your blog from the 16th I was referring to him as a her? My bad. I hope he is not offended 🙂 (I think it’s from having female dogs all the time, I just do that??)

Aww he’s a handsome little guy. Him and his little antlers. I love those ears…lol…He’s probably thinking Uh-Uh, I’m not going back in there. I’ll just stay behind this nice big wall. It’s funny how he is peeping over the wall…lol…I do hope you can get some awesome pictures of him when he is a grown adult. This photo is a nice one. Great job! You did the best you could with him being nervous. Maybe he will get use to you once he sees you mean no harm. They are beautiful animals…
