This is so annoying!
My newest pet peeve is when I’m watching a show on TV, focusing on the storyline, and just when it gets interesting all of a sudden some guy pops up at the bottom of the screen, walkin’ around down there waving his arms like he has an urgent message I need to know, and then here comes the name of the show, what time it’s on, and blah, blah, blah. Who cares? This is so annoying! I refuse to watch any show that I see promo’d like that. I’ll show them. I guess they’ve figured out that no one is watching commercials any more so now I am being forced to endure these rude interruptions to my favorite shows. And they’re not tiny – they take up half the screen! So now I’m forming a new coalition called B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S (Boycotting All Shows That Are Run Down-Screen). Who’s in?

go to google and put in “do annoying pop ups during tv shows annoy you?” It’s filled with people who feel the same way. Some of the stories are funny too! I find it freaky to be so involved with a storyline and all of a sudden some pop up like a bobble head??? creaps up and tries to distract me. If I was the producer or writer of the show I would be pissed! and interuppting my General Hospital for the President or any other person just is not acceptable!! Youre right Jenny, just when the best part of the show is on they do something like that. I hate it when they interrupt my soap operas or even watching your show when it was on air. I use to hate for your show to be interrupted. Like when the news would break in to let us know there is a police chase miles away. Who cares! It annoyed me so bad, but atleast if that happened I had a latenight run to fall back on to watch your show again without any interruptions 🙂 and now they will rerun my soap operas last night if they are interrupted during the day…
Makes me wonder now if our loal channel WSB-tv=(ABC) has had too many complaints about interruptions that they rerun shows when they break in on them throughout the day. I never complained, I just dealt with it, but it is highly annoying Jenny, so I dont blame you for feeling the way you do. I think alot of people are bothered when the tv is interrupted with non sense…
